Protect your sources before the footage leaves your phone

Updated

Short answer

FaceHush censors faces in photos and video entirely on the phone, so sensitive footage never goes to a third-party server for processing. It works offline, has no account, and hides every face by default.

Why on-device processing matters

Uploading raw footage to an online editor to blur a face creates a copy you do not control. FaceHush has no server that receives media: detection, tracking and rendering all run on the device, in airplane mode if you choose.

Default-deny by design

Every face starts hidden. You opt people in to visibility, not out of it, so a rushed edit fails safe. For sources, use solid cover in photos or strong mosaic on video, and check hair, tattoos, voices and backgrounds as well.

  • Photos: mosaic, blur, emoji or solid cover
  • Video: blur or mosaic, tracked through the clip, up to 10 minutes at 1080p on Pro
  • Exports are saved as new files; originals stay untouched

Questions

Does FaceHush work without internet?

Yes. Everything runs on the phone.

Is face blurring enough to protect a source?

Not always. Voices, clothing, locations and metadata can identify people too. Treat face censoring as one layer of protection.

Does FaceHush keep logs of what I edit?

No. FaceHush never sees your photos or videos. See the privacy policy for the full details.
