Your photo never leaves this device.
How it works
- 01
Add a photo
Choose a file, drop it on the page or paste it. JPG, PNG and WebP work everywhere.
- 02
Check the faces
Every face is covered automatically. Tap a face to keep it visible, or drag a box over any face that was missed.
- 03
Download
Pick a style and strength, then save a new copy as JPG or PNG. Your original is untouched.
Private by design, not by promise
Most online blur tools upload your photo to their server. This one cannot.
Runs in your browser
Face detection uses an on-device model loaded from this site. Your photo is processed by your own device.
Uploads are blocked
This site's security policy only allows connections back to itself, so the page has nowhere to send an image.
Clean downloads
Downloads are re-encoded, so location and camera metadata from the original are not carried over.
Questions
Is this face blur tool really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many photos you process one at a time.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Detection and censoring run in your browser on your device. The page cannot send images anywhere.
Why was a face missed?
Very small, blurry, turned or covered faces are hard for any detector. Use Add a missed face and drag a box over it.
What image size can I download?
Up to 4096 pixels on the longest side. Larger photos are scaled down to that size.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, in current versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge. HEIC photos open in Safari; in other browsers, use JPG or PNG.
Can I blur faces in videos?
Not in the browser. The FaceHush app censors and tracks faces in video, and also handles batches and saved faces.
Share the moment. Hush the faces.
Free on Google Play, coming soon to the App Store. Private by default, from the first tap.
